Annabelle + TJ | Destination Wedding Photographer

Naples, Florida is a dream destination for a wedding.  The gulf breeze kisses the white sandy beach and the sunset dazzles the shoreline.  Its one of the most romantic places to visit in Florida and one of the most beautiful places to make an eternal pledge to love someone for the rest of your life.  Annabelle and TJ were absolutely giddy to be saying their vows at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort amongst their family and closest friends.  The day wouldn’t have been the same without the 4 giggly flower girls.  They kept everyone laughing and kept the dance floor hopping.  The ceremony was held on the gulf lawn, dinner was served poolside, and the get-your-party-face-on reception was themed in chic South Beach style decor.  The entire day was popping with champagne and class.  It was an absolute honor to document such a beautiful wedding day for these 2 love birds.  Cheers to a long and happy life together, Annabelle & TJ!

Kristin + Robert | Lexington Wedding Photographer

Ask anyone in Lexington what they think about their city….odds are you won’t hear one bad word about it.  It’s southern, sophisticated, charming, yet laid back. There is a little bit of everything in Lex and one of the best parts of the city is the people.  You can literally be in the country one minute riding a horse on a sprawling estate and in less than 10 minutes you can be downtown experiencing the urban life.  You don’t have to tell Kristin and Robert that Lexington, Kentucky is one of the greatest places on earth.  They are both University of Kentucky grads (and HUGE fans)  and embrace every part of this beautiful city and culture.  Their wedding was at Christ the King Cathedral and their reception was at Lexington Country Club.  Their wedding was a little bit of everything…just like Lexington:  southern, sophisticated, charming, yet laid back.  There were so many people dancing and having a blast- the Ford’s really know how to have a party!  Just see for yourself!

Kristin got her b-maids these adorable monogrammed robes.
Ana Crane Simpson with Applied Cosmetics…this woman is magic.  Hands-down the best makeup artist in the world. Yup- in the world! When I got engaged, she was the 1st vendor I booked! She is that special!
The b-maids dresses came from Twirl.  Again, another vendor I used.  Ty at Twirl is the best!  Check them out!
How cute is this peanut?!
Kristin had so many girls helping her…good job B-maids!!!
One of my favorite moments on a wedding day is the b-maid clap after the bride is all dressed.  Love the happiness and celebration that they are showing that their friend is getting married!!
Kristin taking one last look in the mirror before going to see Robert. Brides who do first impressions, rock!:)
Robert seeing his bride for the first time
Benefit of having your reception at Lexington Country Club, you can take pics out on the greens AND they provided golf carts for the bride and groom, the photographers, and the videographers. Awesome!
We were really worried about the rain…. there was a short break and we were all cheering. We hopped on the golf carts and took advantage of the break on the golf course at Lexington Country Club- and then the rain came again!  We were so grateful for the break in the clouds!
How cute are these little ones?!  Kristin, its time to confess….I stole the idea of the flower crown (I’m sure there is a better name for it) for my flower girl. :)
She is about to burst from happiness!!
Aaaahhh!  Their looks at eachother just melt me…I love when a bride and groom are truly present in the moment.
Okay, how cute is Kristin?!  If she wasn’t on Robert’s arm I feel like she might have stopped to socialize. ;o)
I always recycle the flower girls flowers for the flower toss!
Grooms cake- SO awesome!  Go big blue!
Their first dance was full of whirls and twirls…and then the party started….Burning Las Veags was AMAZING!  I felt like I was at a concert- they rocked the house!
Kristin’s brothers are a HOOT!I thought this might be my favorite pic from their dancing at the end of the night and then I saw the one below this one…hilarious and nice catch Robert!
The groomsmen serenaded Kristin with Backstreet Boys I want it that way.
And here was an idea Kristin’s mom proposed and I thought it was brilliant.  Since Kristin and 4 of her b-maids were on the UK dance team, they played the UK fight song and busted out in this:  A firework send off- what an appropriate send-off for such an amazing wedding!
Kristin and Robert had our photobooth company there- everyone loved it!!!
Kristin & Robert we had a blast shooting your wedding!  It was an epic event that won’t be forgotten and most likely won’t be topped. :)  Thanks for letting us photograph the most important day of your lives!

Jessica and Will | Lexington Engagement Photographer

Growing up on a sprawling Lexington, Kentucky horse (and cattle) farm is something most could only dream of.  Growing up on a sprawling Lexington, Kentucky horse farm on a house that sits next to your grandparent’s house, is something most people can’t even wrap their heads around.  Fast forward to getting married on said farm to the love of your life… and well…. that is just a fairly tale.

Jessica and Will are so warm and friendly, I really felt like I’ve known them forever.  We took their engagement pictures on Jessica’s family farm (Audubon Farm, click this link to find out how you can tour their farm). This is the farm where Jessica and Will will get married and have their reception…she said when she was little she always dreamed of having her wedding here.  As a huge animal lover, I was in heaven being on this farm.  If you think these images are amazing, JUST wait for their wedding pictures.  It’s going to be soooo-oh-oh-oooh amazing. So excited for the big day this summer!

Share-a-Pet Calendar Shoot | Fort Lauderdale Pet Photographers

These pups are not only adorable, they are therapy dogs who bring smiles to so many people throughout the year.  We were asked to shoot the Share-a-Pet calendar for charity and were honored to be asked. The folks at Flowers and Found Objects in Las Olas were kind enough to allow us to use their gorgeous shop at a base.   Here are just a few of their adorable pups!  Ohhh how they make me grin!  Challenge: try not smiling when you see their little (and some big) faces!!

Dara & Eddie | Miami Beach Wedding Photographers

Dara’s smile lights up a room.  Heck, even her voice brightens up the phone line.  I knew from the minute we chatted that she was a positive person with a great attitude- and who doesn’t love a bright & positive person?  Clearly, Eddie was attracted to her bright smile, her adorable giggle, and her upbeat personality, and saw something in her that was beyond special.  Not only do I love her smile and personality, she, like I, is a huge animal lover.  She even brought Cocoa and Pebbles (okay, seriously get out of town with those cute names!) with her while she got ready in the hotel room at the Newport Beachside Resort.  Not even a huge, and I mean huge, rain storm that came sweeping over the coast line right as we walked outside for pictures, could ruin her day.  My assistant and I quickly found a spot inside the bustling hotel where we could take pictures without having 20 families in the background in their swimsuits. Sounds easy enough, but this hotel was the reeeeeaaaaal-lay caaahhhhh-rowded. The sun peeked thru the clouds right as we began to do their bride and groom portraits but the dark clouds created a beautifully dramatic look as they lingered over the sea and coast. Congratulations to Dara and Eddie!  I hope your marriage is as beautiful as your wedding!

Lola | Newborn In-Home Photographer

Suzanne contacted me earlier today about getting some prints from this session from my professional lab. They had gotten professional prints through me from their 1 year session with Lola, but chose to go the digital route with her newborn session (session below).  In her email she wrote “There is a HUGE difference in quality when you develop them and when I do them, why is that?”.  I always tell my customers this but in our digital world, many of my customers still wish to purchase the digital files and will go to cheaper printers to get their images developed.  Getting your prints thru me means they come from a professional lab where they are individually color corrected by an experienced color technician at the lab.  My hopes are that all my customers will get beautiful prints to display in their homes and forgo the digital route.  Do you prefer digital images or prints when you get your family photos taken?  I’d love to hear your opinions and comments!

Enjoy this sweet little session with Lola and her parents.  Not only are they adorable but they are hilarious and had me in stitches during this session (and for Lola’s 1 year session).  Their banter is hysterical and I am so grateful to have them as clients!
